5 out of 5 stars Inexepensive and works just like it should.   July 31, 2010

I purchased this recently in order to be able to resize a newly purchased Invicta watch. It worked like a charm. Before using you should make sure you're lining the pin up on the correct side of the band. And you should have a very strong pair of reading glasses to line the pin up exactly. There's a reason you see those huge magnifiers in watch shops. If you don't have the pin lined up exactly it will bend and break, it's that simple.

4 out of 5 stars Cheap plastic but worth 3 bucks   July 30, 2010

This product is made of cheap plastic but works very nice to pull the watch pins. If you do not abuse this product, it should last quite some time.

2 out of 5 stars poor quality but adequate for the job   July 29, 2010
P. Hartman (Missouri, USA)
Having never had to remove links from a watch before, I was not sure what to expect. This tool was shoddy but I was able to get the job done using it.

PROS
- it got the job done
- extremely cheap price

CONS
- tool was not wide enough for the clamp area of my watch, had to remove the vice and do that link by hand
- bits broke very easily
- the vice was wobbly and hard to control - you have to be very careful to not accidentally scratch your watch
- no instructions included, had to get on-line to learn how to use it

This comes with 6 bits that are used to poke out the pins on your band. They are designed to break when you use excessive pressure according to the tutorial site. Well, good it came with six because I went through 3 of them when sizing just one watch band. At that rate I will be able to do one more sizing in the future and then have to throw this thing in the trash.

It was very time consuming and difficult to remove the pins using this tool - I spent close to a hour screwing with this tonight. While I was able to finish the job, next time I need to do this I would seriously consider saving the headache and just taking my watch to a jeweler.

1 out of 5 stars What a waste of money   July 22, 2010

Don't buy this and pay shipping, paper clip will do a better job than this.

3 out of 5 stars Not quite   July 19, 2010
B. Davis (Los Alamos, NM)
I could have sworn someone said this device worked on an Invicta watch. Considering how large the Invicta bands tend to me (including mine), this is surprising. I measure 7/8" so don't bother with this one if you have a larger band.
